It is a horrifying experience at the cross junction near Pooja Blood Bank . There are four roads converging at the junction with no signals or automatic controls in the form of roundabouts with the result that motorists drive the way they like right on the face of traffic police seen only at month ends(reasons well known)and nothing is being suggested by them to the RTA>
This junction is a death trap particularly late nights and early mornings and the paver blocks laid to added problems
will the authorities look into this death trap.

Motorable Roads in Mumbai
One has to learn from RTA Dubai on how to maintain roads or for the matter of fact from the Dubai municipality on how to and where to use paver blocks or say even to break open a road for whatever reasons. The MCGB instead of spending huge amounts of research and development with no end results could send few top officials(dedicated , honest and faithful- may be hard to find -one like T Chandrasekhar- Thane fame )to Dubai and be the invitees of RTA or Dubai municipality and learn the basics of road maintenance and usage of paver blocks in a metropolitan city.
Dubai has come a long way in economic development by learning from other countries like West Germany and UK.
What stops the MCGB from doing so . They can do a favour to the mumbaites by saving their money collected from them in various forms.
I am prepared for a write up of the issue if need be.
Other members of the blog can contribute to this and share their experiences in Dubai or for that matter any developing ( really developing country).
